Virginia Place is a Scholar House community dedicated to providing affordable, supportive housing for single parents pursuing full-time post-secondary education. The program offers modern apartment homes paired with on-site child development, counseling, workshops, and other services to help families thrive.

• Special Program for single parents with primary custody
• Full-time students or admitted full-time in a program of one year or longer
• Preferred GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Requirements: high school diploma or GED, age 18+, Housing Choice Voucher eligibility, childcare enrollment for children under age 3

Animal Policy:
  • No pets allowed. Service, Assistive and Therapy animals are accepted at Virginia Place under the guideline, Section 504 of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Service /Assistance Animal will require following the steps of Reasonable Accommodations Request and adequate documentation.
  • PETSCREENING IS A PART OF THE APPLICATION PROCESS FOR ALL APPLICANTS.
  • A welcoming environment is paramount to all of our residents. To help ensure ALL of our residents understand our No Pet or Animal, and Assistance Animal-related policies, we use a third-party screening service and require everyone to complete a "no pet" profile, or request accommodation for an assistance animal. This process ensures we have formalized, No Pet or Animal, and Assistance Animal policy acknowledgments and more accurate records to create greater mutual accountability. The No Pet/Animal and Assistance Animal profiles are free. If you are unable to complete a profile online and need help, please contact your housing provider.
